The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs starring Glenn Close

Hollywood actress Glenn Close has assembled a cast of some talent for the movie, “The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs”, which is filming in Dublin right now. Originally Orlando Bloom was set to be involved, but I’m guessing his role has been taken by either Aaron Johnson or Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who are both in the film.

Close revealed at a press conference here earlier in December that she’s waited fifteen years to make this movie, which is about an Englishwoman who has to dress as a man to make a living in Ireland in 1889. The tale is based on the short story of the same name by George Moore, and is co-scripted by legendary Irish writer, John Banville (who says he’d like to have been a 1930s screenwriter in the Hollywood Hills) and Glenn Close herself.

Well, we’ve already had Sean Penn in Dublin wearing lipstick for his role in “This Must Be The Place” so Im hoping Mark Walberg or some other Irish-related American actor will be over soon donning a dress!
